Order of Operations

 

When you begin working on your iMovie project I suggest you keep in mind a certain "Order of Operations". This order is not mandatory; all of these options/effects will be avaible if done out of order. However, maintaining this order will minimize any conflicts and/or confusion. This operations are listed in order in the table below.

1. Import all of your footage (video, pictures or both)

2. Arrange your footage in the order you wish it to appear

3. Complete any Splicing, cutting or time-editing that you plan on doing to your clips
4. Apply your video effects
5. Apply your titles and text effects
6. Apply your transitions
7. Apply your Audio effects
8. Export your movie and burn it to a disc
